Subject: Leadership is the capability to influence and motivate people by the consistent and accountable behaviors of a leader. What does leadership mean in a Sino-German context? How can the concepts of leadership be successfully implemented in practice? What are similarities and differences in daily work and how to overcome obstacles? What recommendations would Chinese experts with long-year work experiences in Germany like to give to young leaders?

Dr. Jin Shen and Yuan Yuan will share insights from their perspective as Chinese experts working in Germany.

Dr. Jin Shen
Partner at Andlinger & Company, Austria
Member of Board of Directors at Habia Cable AB, Sweden 

Before joining Andlinger, Dr. Shen worked at SUSPA, Bystronic Glass (former part of conzzeta) and ABB in the positions of general management, new business development and technology management, including 14 years general management of European companies in China- He holds a degree of Dr.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering from Technical University of Berlin and got a M.Sc. degree from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou. He was additionally educated at IMD in Lausanne (PED), Switzerland. He is now based in Heidelberg.


Yuan Yuan
Consumer Loyalty Manager at BSH Home Appliances Group 



Yuan Yuan has 10 years’ professional experiences and possesses intimate knowledge of the Consumer Products industry as well as Chinese market, with a special focus on sales & marketing strategy and business development. He has also accumulated empirical experiences for change management and company culture transformation. Meanwhile Yuan is well recognized as an excellent team player being good at connecting people, on top of that he has very strong international competence, especially in Sino-German business context. He is supporting CNBW from time to time and is now based in Munich.
