Business Confidence Survey 2026: Launch and Download
(8.6.2026) On 3 June, the Shanghai Chapter of the European Chamber launched the Business Confidence Survey at an event attended by a large crowd composed of businesses, consuls and journalists. Jens Eskelund, President of the European Chamber, presented the national results. This year's survey data show some encouraging signs compared to last year, which was the worst on record across many metrics, and, if the right policies are implemented, business confidence could begin to improve meaningfully in several areas.

Mai hatten das Sprachenzentrums für Europa und Lateinamerika der China Media Group (CMG) und das Generalkonsulats der VR China (München) eine Reise für elf deutsche Journalisten durch China gestaltet (darunter Bayerischer Rundfunk, Oberbayerisches Volksblatt, Franken Life, Neue Solidarität). Stationen: Beijing, Sichuan, Guangdong.

Food Additives in China: Regulations and Practical Cases
(28.5.2026) China has established a solid but rather complex regulatory system for food additives. This system might prove difficult to navigate for EU food producers. Many have reached out to the EU SME Centre with detailed questions on the permitted usage and scope of food additives. For this reason, the Centre provide with guidelines.
